Why did my pitcher arrive without the filter lid?

Our new pitcher models no longer include filter lids. Removing the lid will not affect the quality of your water or the efficiency of the pitcher. It's mainly for aesthetic purposes. After some user feedback, we have decided not to produce this part anymore as it is redundant and produces more plastic waste than necessary.
