UV-C LED and safety

The UV-C LED in the LARQ Bottle PureVis does not need to be replaced. It is rated for >100,000 cycles, so it should last a very long time.

UV-C LED light is most dangerous if in direct contact with your skin or eyes. It will have little impact if activated in your general vicinity. However, we do have safeguards in place to ensure that this does not happen. If you remove the cap during a cleaning cycle, the sensor will detect ambient light and shut off, indicated by an orange LED light. Additionally, UV-C LED light does not remain in the water and therefore is perfectly safe for consumption.
