The UV-C wavelength emitted from the UV-C LED located in the LARQ Bottle PureVis Caps is optimized at the 270-275 nanometer spectrum to eliminate up to 99%* of bio-contaminants such as E. coli by breaking down their DNA before they have a chance to spread, improving the quality of your water. At the minimum, the LARQ Bottle PureVis should be filled with water that is clear to the eyes and does not contain any physical sediment as the UV-C LED will not remove these impurities from the water. The UV-C LED chip in the LARQ Bottle PureVis is smaller, more energy-efficient, non-toxic (mercury-free), and more economical compared to traditional Mercury-based UV technology. The UVC LED will run at approximately 1 watt during operation.
