Can I use it in the backcountry?

No. We would not recommend using the LARQ Bottle Filtered Flip Top to fill up from streams. If you do want to use it in the wild, purify the water first with the PureVis cap and then use it with the LARQ Bottle Filtered Flip Top! Only use it with flowing water that is clear to the eyes with no heavy sediments.

Note: Filter is intended to be used with potable (municipal tap) water only. Do not use LARQ Bottle Filtered Flip Top with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before and after filtration.
